    Company History:

    ACUSHLA, an organic olive oil produced with passion in the lands of Quinta do Prado, Vila Flor, is one of the best examples of what Douro has got to offer. By the hands of Tetribérica – Organic Farming, ACUSHLA, word of Irish origin that means “beat of my heart”, can be found, in the best gourmet stores in Portugal and the world, since 2006.

    ACUSHLA’s terminology describes the concept from which it sprung, the strength of an emotional click that would allow several generations from the same family to bond. The olive tree has always fascinated Joaquim Moreira, the mentor of the project, by its beauty, spirituality, resistance and longevity. And thus, an entrepreneur tied to the fashion business, who spent most of his professional life in big metropolis, working at a frantic pace, decided to nurture an alternative project. His father is in charge of the production phase, Joaquim is responsible for the management and the investment, and his daughter handles the sales and marketing.

    The initiative to choose a different path stem from the need to change the record, to alter the daily pace with a business attached to the land and its more temperate rhythm. Concerned with environmental issues, the organic culture was launched, placing in the market an olive oil of a premium segment, which pleases gourmets with the most demanding taste
