    Company History:

    We, Rai Bros Co., own a plant for filtration and packaging natural olive oil into different packaging sizes according to IOC standards. Plant’s capacity is 10,000 tons/year.

    Our plant commissioned in Dec.1997. It is located in Latakia – Syria.

    We export our products of olive oil under the trade mark “AL MOTAWASSET” olive oil bottled in glass / pet bottles to: UAE, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, KSA, Sudan and Iraq. Also to Iran packed into metallic drums adequate for alimentary staff, capacity of each 195 kg, and the crude olive oil into flexi tanks to Italy, Canada and USA.

    1. Extra Virgin Olive Oil: Acidity 0.6 – 0.7% – Peroxide Value: 10 -12 meq.kg
    2. Virgin Olive Oil: Acidity 1-2 % – Peroxide Value: 12-14 meq.kg

    Our Extra Virgin Olive Oil “Al Motawasset” ; achieved 3rd place in “Olio Award 2009″ for the (Best 50 olive oil) in a competition organized in Germany by the famous German Magazine “Der Feinschmecker” with cooperation of “Mastri Oleari” the Italian Association. Also, we had achieved 1st place in the category of “Newcomer of the Year”.

    Production Methods:

    Extra Virgin Olive Oil is not blended. It consists of one sort of olives which is : SORANI

    Virgin Olive Oil is blended.It consists of three sorts: SORANI + ZAITY + KHODEIRI

    Harvest starts in October and ends in February. Hand Cropped.

    Production Processes:

    1) Crude olive oil is transferred from the stainless steel tanks where olive oil is usually stored into special tank for filtration. Then this olive oil undergoes to a filtration process using natural coral which has no effect on taste, color ,physical or chemical structure. Being a fully natural material.

    2) Then, filtered olive oil undergoes another process which is polish by using paper filter. Another process follows which is processing for the purpose of anti oxidization of olive oil with air. Then we came to packing and packaging the product to be ready for marketing and usage.
