Company Background:
Aceites Campoliva, S.L. is a family run business established in 1995 by the sons of Mr. Francisco Melgarejo and Mrs. Juana Cordero, hoping to continue carrying out their ancestor’s work from the last two centuries. This goes back to the end of the 18th century, when his great grandfather, in a 1,000 square meter facility with the machinery of the times—a stone mill and beam press—gave way to one of the most prestigious and veteran olive oil companies in the area, which was then run by his grandson, followed by his great-granddaughter and now great-great grandsons, who currently own the olive mill.
The olive mill, in the town of Pegalajar, in the province of Jaén, has been recently built and includes the most modern machinery, facilities and technologies, both for creating extra virgin olive oils and its packaging—guaranteeing a strict and rigorous quality control of the final product.
