Recent News

Agro Foods & Commerce, a renowned Spanish producer, has been awarded two Gold Awards at the New York International Olive Oil Competition (NYIOOC). The awards were given for their Priordei 1789 Rojal and Priordei 1789 Arbequina extra virgin olive oils. Both products originate from the Priorat region in Catalonia, specifically from the Sierra de Montsant Natural Park.

The Priordei 1789 Rojal, which received a Gold Award, is made from the Rojal cultivar. Similarly, the Priordei 1789 Arbequina, also a Gold Award recipient, is produced using the Arbequina cultivar. Agro Foods & Commerce has a long-standing history of olive cultivation and oil production, spanning over 10 generations and 232 years. The company emphasizes the importance of land preservation and sustainable practices in their production process.

The NYIOOC is the most prestigious olive oil competition globally, recognizing excellence in olive oil production. Agro Foods & Commerce’s recent accolades highlight their commitment to quality and tradition in the olive oil industry.

The winning brands are presented in the Official Guide and the Olive Oil Times World Ranking.
