Brassica's Červar Organic Wins Gold at NYIOOC

Recent News

Brassica, an olive oil producer based in Croatia, has received a Gold Award at the NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition for its Červar Organic extra virgin olive oil. The competition, recognized as one of the most prestigious in the olive oil industry, highlights the quality and craftsmanship of Brassicas product.

Located near the village of Momjan in Croatian Istria, Brassica’s organic olive grove was established in 2008. The grove consists of approximately 1,000 trees of varying ages, exclusively featuring native Istrian olive varieties such as Buža, Belica bianchera, Črnica, and Rossignola. From its inception, the cultivation has been certified organic, ensuring the production of high-quality olive oil.

Brassica produces around 500 liters of extra virgin olive oil annually, marketed under the brand name Červar. The award-winning Červar Organic is crafted from a blend of these native varieties, showcasing the unique characteristics of Istrian olives.

The NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition serves as a benchmark for excellence in the olive oil industry, and Brassica’s recognition at this event underscores the company’s commitment to quality and sustainable practices.

The winning brands are presented in the Official Guide and the Olive Oil Times World Ranking.
