Brief
Conte Guicciardini di Ferdinando Guicciardini has received a Gold Award at the NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition. The award was given for their Laudemio Castello di Poppiano, which is produced from the olive groves of Castello di Poppiano.
The Guicciardini family, one of the oldest Florentine families, has been influential in Florence’s social, political, and commercial spheres since 1200. Their history is closely linked to the Castello di Poppiano, a medieval structure dating back to the first millennium.
Laudemio Castello di Poppiano is made from the Frantoio cultivar, with olives harvested in November and December. The production process is guided by a focus on quality, from the tree to the mill to the bottle.
The winning brands are presented in the Official Guide and the Olive Oil Times World Ranking.
