Brief
Conte Guicciardini di Ferdinando Guicciardini has received a Gold Award at the NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition. The award was given for their Laudemio Castello di Poppiano, which is proÂduced from the olive groves of Castello di Poppiano.
The Guicciardini famÂily, one of the oldÂest Florentine famÂiÂlies, has been influÂenÂtial in Florence’s social, politÂiÂcal, and comÂmerÂcial spheres since 1200. Their hisÂtory is closely linked to the Castello di Poppiano, a medieval strucÂture datÂing back to the first milÂlenÂnium.
Laudemio Castello di Poppiano is made from the Frantoio culÂtiÂvar, with olives harÂvested in November and December. The proÂducÂtion process is guided by a focus on qualÂity, from the tree to the mill to the botÂtle.
The winÂning brands are preÂsented in the Official Guide and the Olive Oil Times World Ranking.
