The Cooperativa Agrícola dos Olivicultores de Murça (CAOM) has been recognized at the 2025 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, receiving a Silver Award for its Azeite Porca de Murça DOP. This competition is the largest and most respected olive oil quality contest globally.
Founded in 1956, CAOM is situated in a region with a rich history of olive oil production. The cooperative is part of the Trás-os-Montes Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) area in Portugal, known for its high standards in olive oil production.
The award-winning Azeite Porca de Murça DOP is described as a high-quality extra virgin olive oil from the Trás-os-Montes PDO region.
