The Cooperativa Agrícola dos Olivicultores de Murça (CAOM) has been rec­og­nized at the 2025 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, receiv­ing a Silver Award for its Azeite Porca de Murça DOP. This com­pe­ti­tion is the largest and most respected olive oil qual­ity con­test glob­ally.

Founded in 1956, CAOM is sit­u­ated in a region with a rich his­tory of olive oil pro­duc­tion. The coop­er­a­tive is part of the Trás-os-Montes Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) area in Portugal, known for its high stan­dards in olive oil pro­duc­tion.

The award-win­ning Azeite Porca de Murça DOP is described as a high-qual­ity extra vir­gin olive oil from the Trás-os-Montes PDO region. CAOM’s mis­sion focuses on deliv­er­ing high-qual­ity olive oil by adher­ing to strict olive selec­tion stan­dards, ensur­ing the prod­uct remains 100-per­cent nat­ural and healthy.

The win­ning brands are pre­sented in the Official Guide and the Olive Oil Times World Ranking.
