Croatian Olive Oil Producer OPG Lalin Secures Gold at NYIOOC

Recent News

OPG Lalin, a family-run olive oil producer from Croatia, has achieved a significant accolade at the New York International Olive Oil Competition (NYIOOC). The producer’s Dalma Premium extra virgin olive oil was honored with a Gold Award, recognizing its exceptional quality and balanced flavor profile.

Established in 1990, OPG Lalin began as a hobby before transitioning into a business a decade ago. The farm, located in Croatia, cultivates 300 olive trees, with 70 percent being the Oblica variety, while Leccino and Levantinka make up 15 percent each. Annually, the farm produces approximately 2,000 liters of extra virgin olive oil.

The award-winning Dalma Premium is a multi-varietal extra virgin olive oil, noted for its harmonious blend of fruitiness, spiciness, bitterness, and sweetness. This recognition at the NYIOOC underscores OPG Lalin’s commitment to producing high-quality olive oil and highlights the distinctive characteristics of Croatian olive oil on an international stage.

The winning brands are presented in the Official Guide and the Olive Oil Times World Ranking.
