Brief
OPG Lalin, a famÂily-run olive oil proÂducer from Croatia, has achieved a sigÂnifÂiÂcant accoÂlade at the New York International Olive Oil Competition (NYIOOC). The proÂducÂer’s Dalma Premium extra virÂgin olive oil was honÂored with a Gold Award, recÂogÂnizÂing its excepÂtional qualÂity and balÂanced flaÂvor proÂfile.
Established in 1990, OPG Lalin began as a hobby before tranÂsiÂtionÂing into a busiÂness a decade ago. The farm, located in Croatia, culÂtiÂvates 300 olive trees, with 70 perÂcent being the Oblica variÂety, while Leccino and Levantinka make up 15 perÂcent each. Annually, the farm proÂduces approxÂiÂmately 2,000 liters of extra virÂgin olive oil.
The award-winÂning Dalma Premium is a multi-variÂetal extra virÂgin olive oil, noted for its harÂmoÂnious blend of fruitiÂness, spiciÂness, bitÂterÂness, and sweetÂness. This recogÂniÂtion at the NYIOOC underÂscores OPG Lalin’s comÂmitÂment to proÂducÂing high-qualÂity olive oil and highÂlights the disÂtincÂtive charÂacÂterÂisÂtics of Croatian olive oil on an interÂnaÂtional stage.
The winÂning brands are preÂsented in the Official Guide and the Olive Oil Times World Ranking.
