Brief
Oïkos Antalis, a Greek olive oil producer, has been awarded a Silver at the NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition for its Cuvée Agios Ilias. The winning entry, made from the Koroneiki cultivar, highlights the producer’s commitment to biodiversity.
The journey of Oïkos Antalis began in 1992 when Stylianos moved to France, where he started a family. Despite his career taking him away from Greece, he maintained a strong connection to his homeland, sharing his passion for Greek culture and cuisine. In 2019, encouraged by his wife Sophie, Stylianos began to reconnect with Greece through frequent visits.
In 2020, Stylianos received an olive tree from his children, which brought back memories of his childhood. Later that year, a call from his uncle informed him of an ancestral olive grove for sale, prompting Stylianos to reclaim his heritage.
The World Olive Oil Competition recognizes excellence in olive oil production, and the Silver award for Oïkos Antalis Cuvée Agios Ilias underscores the quality of Greek olive oils in the global market.
The winning brands are presented in the Official Guide and the Olive Oil Times World Ranking.
