Recent News

Opg Brčić Vilma, a Croatian olive oil producer, has been recognized with a Gold Award at the NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition. The award was given for their Vias Oliveti extra virgin olive oil, which is crafted from the Istrian Bjelica cultivar. The NYIOOC is the most prestigious competition in the olive oil industry, highlighting the quality and craftsmanship of producers worldwide.

Located in the Istrian region of Croatia, Opg Brčić Vilma has been cultivating olives for over 20 years. The farm, which started as a small family endeavor, now boasts over 3,000 olive trees. The producer emphasizes sustainable practices, ensuring that olives are handpicked and cold-pressed within hours to maintain freshness.

The Istrian landscape, known for its olive-growing tradition, provides an ideal environment for producing high-quality olive oil. Opg Brčić Vilma offers guided tours and tastings, allowing visitors to experience the rich olive culture of the region. The Gold Award at the World Olive Oil Competition underscores the producer’s commitment to quality and tradition in olive oil production.

The winning brands are presented in the Official Guide and the Olive Oil Times World Ranking.
