Brief
OPG Stefan Simić, a family-run business from the island of Brač in Croatia, has been awarded a Gold Award at the NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition. The award was given for their organic extra virgin olive oil, produced from the Oblica cultivar.
The olive oil, named Stefan Simić, is produced from olives harvested by hand from the family’s orchard on Brač. The olives are then transported to a local mill where the oil is produced under the direct supervision of the family.
The combination of years of tradition and the local climate on the island of Brač contributes to the production of this award-winning olive oil. The recognition at the NYIOOC highlights the quality of the organic extra virgin olive oil produced by OPG Stefan Simić.
The winning brands are presented in the Official Guide and the Olive Oil Times World Ranking.
