SOPG Drenka Begić Celebrates Gold at NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition

Recent News

SOPG Drenka Begić, a Croatian producer known for its dedication to high-quality extra virgin olive oil, has been awarded a Gold Award at the NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition. The winning entry, Begić Oblica, is crafted from Croatia’s iconic Oblica olive.

The olive grove, where Begić Oblica is produced, is situated on rocky, terraced terrain with a view of the sea, contributing to the unique characteristics of the oil. The NYIOOC, recognized as one of the most prestigious olive oil competitions globally, evaluates oils from producers around the world, highlighting excellence in olive oil production.

This achievement underscores SOPG Drenka Begićs commitment to quality and the rich tradition of olive oil production in Croatia. The World Olive Oil Competition serves as a platform for producers to showcase their products and gain international recognition. SOPG Drenka Begić’s success at the competition is a testament to the quality of Croatian olive oils and their growing reputation on the global stage.

The winning brands are presented in the Official Guide and the Olive Oil Times World Ranking.
