ExAlbis by OPG Chiavalon, a Croatian extra vir­gin olive oil, has been awarded a Gold at the 2025 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition. This pres­ti­gious event is rec­og­nized glob­ally as a bench­mark for the high­est qual­ity olive oils.

The award-win­ning ExAlbis is pro­duced from the 2024 har­vest, uti­liz­ing a blend of three indige­nous Istrian cul­ti­vars. These cul­ti­vars are har­vested, milled, and stored sep­a­rately before being blended to cre­ate the final prod­uct. The result is an extra vir­gin olive oil noted for its rich aro­mas and very fruity pro­file, with a bal­anced pun­gency and bit­ter­ness.

OPG Chiavalon, the pro­ducer of ExAlbis, is based in Croatia, a coun­try known for its rich tra­di­tion in olive oil pro­duc­tion. The care­ful selec­tion and pro­cess­ing of the olives con­tribute to the dis­tinct char­ac­ter­is­tics of ExAlbis, which have been rec­og­nized by the judges at the NYIOOC.

The NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition is the indus­try’s most com­pre­hen­sive annual qual­ity review, attract­ing entries from pro­duc­ers around the world. Winning a Gold award at this com­pe­ti­tion sig­ni­fies a high level of qual­ity and excel­lence in olive oil pro­duc­tion.

ExAlbis’s achieve­ment at the 2025 NYIOOC high­lights the ded­i­ca­tion and exper­tise of OPG Chiavalon in pro­duc­ing pre­mium qual­ity extra vir­gin olive oil.
