The NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, a pres­ti­gious event in the olive oil indus­try, has awarded a gold medal to Krš, an extra vir­gin olive oil pro­duced by the Škegro Family Winery. The 2025 com­pe­ti­tion rec­og­nized Krš for its excep­tional qual­ity and fla­vor.

Krš is crafted in Bosnia and Herzegovina by the Škegro Family Winery, a pro­ducer known for its ded­i­ca­tion to qual­ity. The win­ery uti­lizes a selec­tion of hand­picked olives, includ­ing Oblica, Pendolino, Casaliva, Lastovka, Levantinka, Leccino, and Cipressino vari­eties. These olives are cold pressed within four hours of har­vest­ing, ensur­ing the preser­va­tion of their nat­ural fla­vors and nutri­ents.

The result­ing extra vir­gin olive oil is noted for its mild and fla­vor­ful pro­file, char­ac­ter­ized by a bal­anced sweet­ness and bit­ter­ness. This metic­u­lous pro­duc­tion process and atten­tion to detail have con­tributed to Krš’s recog­ni­tion at the NYIOOC.

The gold award at the 2025 NYIOOC high­lights the Škegro Family Winery’s com­mit­ment to pro­duc­ing high-qual­ity olive oil.
