Oleum Crete, a brand pro­duced by Kydonakis Bros, has been rec­og­nized at the 2025 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition. The brand was awarded a Silver medal, high­light­ing its qual­ity among a global selec­tion of extra vir­gin olive oils.

The olive oil is sourced from the Messara region in south­ern Crete, Greece, an area known for its sun-kissed groves. Oleum Crete bears the Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) from Messara, ensur­ing its regional authen­tic­ity and adher­ence to spe­cific pro­duc­tion stan­dards.

Kydonakis Bros, the pro­ducer of Oleum Crete, is based in Greece and is known for its com­mit­ment to excel­lence in pro­duc­ing extra vir­gin olive oil. The award at the NYIOOC under­scores the brand’s ded­i­ca­tion to main­tain­ing high-qual­ity stan­dards.

The NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition is the largest and most com­pre­hen­sive qual­ity review in the olive oil indus­try, attract­ing entries from pro­duc­ers world­wide.
