Organizers of the world’s largest and most presÂtiÂgious olive oil comÂpeÂtiÂtion said the deciÂsion was made to end the regÂisÂtraÂtion period early in order to leave adeÂquate time for proÂducÂers, judges and techÂniÂcal teams to preÂpare for the conÂtest.
Now in its ninth year, the event is expected to draw up to 1,000 entries from at least two dozen counÂtries.
The awarded brands are feaÂtured on the Official Guide to the World’s Best Olive Oils, the popÂuÂlar webÂsite where each year milÂlions of visÂiÂtors explore extra virÂgin olive oils of the highÂest qualÂity and the places to find them.
Producers, importers and disÂtribÂuÂtors can enter their extra virÂgin olive oil brands on Producer Tools, the web appliÂcaÂtion develÂoped by the NYIOOC.
