Olive Council Announces 'Mario Solinas' Winners

The International Olive Council announced today the winners of its annual Mario Solinas Quality Award.

The International Olive Council (IOC) announced today the win­ners of its annual Mario Solinas Quality Award.

There were 149 entries, mostly from Spain (92) and Portugal (44). There were 5 entries from Italy, 2 from Greece, 2 from Tunisia, and 1 each from Croatia, Andorra and France.

There was only one entry from the Southern Hemisphere. But that oil was com­bined with Northern Hemisphere entries, the IOC said, con­sid­er­ing it was stored in the Northern Hemisphere.”

The place and time of the award cer­e­mony had not yet been decided, the IOC added.
