Registration has opened for the 2016 New York International Olive Oil Competition (NYIOOC), the fourth ediÂtion of the largest and most presÂtiÂgious extra virÂgin olive oil comÂpeÂtiÂtion in the world.
Each year the annual conÂtest draws some 700 entries from 25 counÂtries to be evalÂuÂated over three days in New York City by an interÂnaÂtional panel of top olive oil tasters.

The winÂners will be known as the World’s Best Olive Oils for 2016 — earnÂing their place on an authorÂiÂtaÂtive list of elite oils for chefs and buyÂers around the world who want to find the year’s highÂest rated olive oil brands.
A press conÂferÂence announcÂing the results of the comÂpeÂtiÂtion will be broadÂcast live at 6:00 PM (22:00 UTC) on April 14, 2016 on the NYIOOC webÂsite and synÂdiÂcated through interÂnaÂtional media chanÂnels includÂing Olive Oil Times, the main sponÂsor of the event.

Buyers can conÂtact proÂducÂers and disÂtribÂuÂtors directly on the site, makÂing it easÂier than ever for merÂchants, culiÂnary proÂfesÂsionÂals and home cooks to source the year’s best oils.
Olive oil brands can be regÂisÂtered on the NYIOOC Producer Tools webÂsite, a platÂform designed by NYIOOC to assist proÂducÂers and brand manÂagers in the proÂmoÂtion of their award-winÂning prodÂucts.
