Olive Oil Times asked farmers around the world to share photos of the 2017 harvest via Facebook, Twitter and an online form over the past week.
The images, assembled in a 3‑minute video posted across social networks and on the Olive Oil Times website, illustrate the hard work and the joy each harvest brings to olive farmers in the Northern Hemisphere this time of year.
Some farmers reported that they had not yet started their harvests but would send images once activities began. OOT editors said a second, expanded montage will be produced later in the season.
