The NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition is now acceptÂing regÂisÂtraÂtions for its 9th ediÂtion, known as the largest and most presÂtiÂgious olive oil qualÂity awards event in the world. Winners of the comÂpeÂtiÂtion are conÂsidÂered to proÂduce the best extra virÂgin olive oils globÂally, with results unveiled in real-time and shared on the Official Guide to the World’s Best Olive Oils.
The NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition has offiÂcially opened regÂisÂtraÂtion for proÂducÂers who wish to parÂticÂiÂpate in the 9th ediÂtion of the annual conÂtest.
The NYIOOC is the largest and most presÂtiÂgious olive oil qualÂity awards event, and each year’s winÂners are conÂsidÂered to be the world’s best extra virÂgin olive oils.
The 2020 ediÂtion saw 871 entries from 26 counÂtries. The results were unveiled in real-time, allowÂing proÂducÂers and the pubÂlic to folÂlow the awards as they unfolded. More than 28,000 tuned in durÂing the 5‑day live stream.
Award winÂners are preÂsented on the Official Guide to the World’s Best Olive Oils — the world’s most visÂited guide to high-qualÂity extra virÂgin olive oils and the proÂducÂers who craft them.
A recently-launched retail locaÂtor feaÂture of the guide assists the pubÂlic in findÂing award-winÂning EVOOs in nearby shops and through online venÂdors.
More than 400 artiÂcles have been writÂten on the 2020 award-winÂning proÂducÂers in interÂnaÂtional media outÂlets, includÂing disÂpatches by Olive Oil Times jourÂnalÂists who cover the results of the annual conÂtest.

Extra virÂgin olive oil brands may be entered in the comÂpeÂtiÂtion on the NYIOOC Producer Tools porÂtal by any comÂpany or orgaÂniÂzaÂtion responÂsiÂble for the prodÂuct, includÂing farms, mills, coopÂerÂaÂtives, botÂtlers, importers, disÂtribÂuÂtors, or marÂketers.
Early regÂisÂtraÂtion closes on January 1, 2021. The results will be announced in May.
