Recent News

Boccabella Farms, based in San Miguel, California, has achieved notable recognition at the NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition. The boutique olive grove, known for its limited-production extra virgin olive oil, secured a Gold Award and two Silver Awards at the prestigious event.

The Boccabella Farms Winemakers Blend received the Gold Award. This olive oil is crafted from a blend of locally grown Italian, French, and Spanish olives, including Cailletier, Bouteillan, Picholine, Mission, Manzanillo, Leccino, and Frantoio. These olives are handpicked and cold-pressed to produce the award-winning blend.

In addition to the Gold Award, Boccabella Farms also earned Silver Awards for two other entries. The Boccabella Farms Estate Arbequina, made from Arbequina olives, was recognized for its quality. Furthermore, the Boccabella Farms Field Blend, which combines Mission, Manzanillo, and Frantoio olives grown on California’s Central Coast, also received a Silver Award.

The World Olive Oil Competition is a significant event in the olive oil industry, highlighting the quality and craftsmanship of producers worldwide. Boccabella Farms’ achievements at the competition underscore its dedication to producing high-quality extra virgin olive oils through careful growing practices and timely harvesting.

The winning brands are presented in the Official Guide and the Olive Oil Times World Ranking.
