Dark Hollow Farm Wins Gold and Silver at NYIOOC 2025

Recent News

Dark Hollow Farm, based in the Rogue Valley of southern Oregon, has been recognized at the 2025 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition. The family-owned farm, known for its organic olive cultivation, secured both Gold and Silver Awards for its olive oil blends.

The farm’s Taggiasca-Maurino + Picual-Arbequina blend received a Gold Award. This blend is composed of approximately 52 percent Taggiasca, 23 percent Maurino, 20 percent Picual, and 5 percent Arbequina olives. The careful crafting of these varieties results in a unique olive oil offering.

Additionally, Dark Hollow Farm’s Picual-Arbequina Blend was awarded a Silver Award. This extra virgin olive oil consists of approximately 80 percent Picual and 20 percent Arbequina olives, highlighting the farm’s dedication to producing quality organic products.

Dark Hollow Farm continues to handpick its olives in October while they are still green and mills them on-site within hours of picking. This process ensures the production of fresh, aromatic blends that have been recognized in international competitions.

The winning brands are presented in the Official Guide and the Olive Oil Times World Ranking.
