The Durant Olive Mill Frantoio received a Gold Award. This extra virÂgin olive oil is noted for being delightÂfully fraÂgrant, startÂing out smooth and butÂtery, with a linÂgerÂing pepÂpery finÂish. The Durant Olive Mill Arbequina also earned a Gold Award, described as a fraÂgrant oil with a sweet grass aroma and a mild, smooth flaÂvor with a hint of green banana.
Additionally, the Durant Olive Mill Tuscan was awarded Gold, charÂacÂterÂized by aroÂmas of chard and ripe black olive, comÂpleÂmented by a butÂtery palate with flaÂvors of unripe avoÂcado, netÂtle, green tea, and toasted pine nut. The Durant Olive Mill Mission, another Gold Award recipÂiÂent, feaÂtures rich, green aroÂmas of arugula and radicÂchio, with a mild, pepÂpery finÂish.
The Durant Olive Mill Estate Blend received a Silver Award. This blend is comÂprised of Leccino, Arbequina, Koroneiki, and Picual olives, all grown on the Durant farm in Oregon. Paul Durant, the cerÂtiÂfied masÂter miller, overÂsees the proÂducÂtion process to ensure qualÂity.
