Mandranova Celebrates Success at NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition

Recent News

Mandranova, a prominent olive oil producer from southern Sicily, has been recognized at the NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition with a Gold Award for its Selezione extra virgin olive oil. The competition, known for its rigorous standards, highlights the best olive oils from around the globe.

Located in Italy, Mandranova operates a farm spanning over 180 hectares, focusing on olive oil and almond production. The farm employs integrated agriculture and polyconic vase pruning techniques to cultivate its Sicilian cultivar olives. The harvest begins in September, and the olives are processed in Mandranova’s proprietary mill using cold extraction methods.

The Selezione extra virgin olive oil, which earned the Gold Award, is crafted from a blend of the finest olives harvested each year. Known for its medium-intense and fruity profile, the oil is rich in polyphenols and exhibits an intense green color, reflecting its high quality.

The recognition at the World Olive Oil Competition underscores Mandranova’s commitment to producing high-quality olive oils, contributing to the reputation of Sicilian oils on the international stage.

The winning brands are presented in the Official Guide and the Olive Oil Times World Ranking.
