Miceli & Sensat Wins Gold Awards at NYIOOC

Recent News

Miceli & Sensat, an Italian producer of organic extra virgin olive oil, has been recognized at the NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition. The company secured two Gold Awards for their products, U’Ciuri and Verde.

The U’Ciuri, which won a Gold Award, is made from the Nocellara del Belice cultivar. It is noted as an IGP Sicilia organic extra virgin olive oil, resulting from a careful selection process conducted annually by the company.

Verde, another Gold Award recipient, is crafted from the Cerasuola cultivar. This oil is characterized by its fresh, vegetal aromas, reminiscent of green almonds, lettuce, celery, and unripe bananas.

Miceli & Sensat operates an organic olive grove in Italy, spanning 115 hectares and housing 46,000 olive trees of five different varieties. The olives are processed within two hours of harvesting in the company’s mill, and the oils are stored under controlled conditions to maintain their quality.

The winning brands are presented in the Official Guide and the Olive Oil Times World Ranking.
