Recent News

Monini SPA, a family-owned company based in Spoleto, Italy, has achieved significant recognition at the New York International Olive Oil Competition (NYIOOC), securing multiple Gold Awards for its premium extra virgin olive oils. The company, which has been committed to maintaining high-quality standards since its establishment in 1920, received accolades for several of its products.

Among the winning entries, Monini’s 100% Italian MonoCultivar Frantoio Bio — Organic was awarded a Gold Award. This organic oil, derived from the Frantoio cultivar, is noted for its clear green color with slight yellowish notes. Another Gold Award recipient, Monini 100% Italian Bios — Organic, is characterized by an intense fragrance of fresh grass and a fruity taste with slightly bitter and spicy sensations.

Additionally, Monini’s 100% Italian Granfruttato, a blend of carefully selected extra virgin olive oils from slightly unripe olives, also received a Gold Award. The company’s 100% Italian MonoCultivar Coratina Bio — Organic, another Gold Award winner, is distinguished by its bitter notes typical of the olive fruit, complemented by a dried and slightly toasted sweet almond aftertaste with floral and bitter almond notes.

Monini SPA’s achievements at the NYIOOC underscore its dedication to quality and tradition in olive oil production. The company continues to be a point of reference in Italy and internationally, with its products recognized for their excellence in the competitive olive oil market.

The winning brands are presented in the Official Guide and the Olive Oil Times World Ranking.
