San Miguel Olive Farm Wins Gold Awards at NYIOOC

San Miguel Olive Farm, located on the Central Coast of California, has achieved sig­nif­i­cant recog­ni­tion at the NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition. The farm, owned and oper­ated by Myrna and Richard Meisler, received Gold Awards for sev­eral of its extra vir­gin olive oil prod­ucts.

The win­ning entries include Tuscan Gold Magnifico, Tuscan Gold Paradiso, Tuscan Gold Eleganza Elite, and Tuscan Gold Fantastico. Tuscan Gold Magnifico, made from the Leccino cul­ti­var, is a pre­mium fil­tered extra vir­gin olive oil. Tuscan Gold Paradiso is crafted from sev­eral Tuscan olive vari­eties, while Tuscan Gold Eleganza Elite is a fil­tered November har­vest blend.

Tuscan Gold Fantastico, another Gold Award recip­i­ent, is pro­duced from the Frantoio cul­ti­var. It is an unfil­tered extra vir­gin olive oil noted for its grassy aroma, but­tery tex­ture, palat­able bit­ter­ness, and robust, pep­pery fin­ish. San Miguel Olive Farm​’s suc­cess high­lights its com­mit­ment to pro­duc­ing high-qual­ity olive oil from its 1,200 Tuscan olive trees planted on ten acres in the West Hills of San Miguel.

The win­ning brands are pre­sented in the Official Guide and the Olive Oil Times World Ranking.
