Tamir Farm's Ptora Midnight Picholine Wins Silver at NYIOOC

Recent News

Tamir Farm, located in the Lachish region of Israel, has been recognized at the New York International Olive Oil Competition (NYIOOC) with a Silver Award for its Ptora Midnight Picholine. The NYIOOC is the most prestigious competition in the olive oil industry, attracting entries from producers worldwide.

The Ptora Midnight Picholine is a product of Tamir Farm’s meticulous production process, which involves harvesting olives at night to prevent exposure to light. This method is employed to maintain the quality and integrity of the oil. The Picholine cultivar, known for its distinct flavor profile, is a key component of this award-winning olive oil.

Tamir Farm, also known as Ptora Farm, has a rich history in agriculture, with its roots tracing back to the discovery of an ancient Byzantine wine press on its land. This discovery indicated the region’s fertile soil and historical significance in agricultural activities. The farm specializes in the cultivation of olives and grapes, producing not only olive oil but also boutique wines and other agricultural products.

The recognition at the NYIOOC underscores Tamir Farm’s commitment to producing high-quality olive oil and its standing in the international olive oil community.

The winning brands are presented in the Official Guide and the Olive Oil Times World Ranking.
