What is Sant' Angelica by Sant' Angelica?

Recent News

Sant’ Angelica, a small artisan olive farm located in the Maremma region of Tuscany, Italy, has been recognized at the 2025 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition. The brand received a Gold award, highlighting its excellence in producing high-quality extra virgin olive oil.

The Sant’ Angelica brand is known for its vibrant, intense, and fragrant oil, which is a result of using four indigenous Tuscan olive varieties: Morella, Frantoio, Pendolino, and Horn Leccini. The olives are harvested early, handpicked, and pressed within hours of collection, ensuring the freshness and quality of the oil.

The Sant’ Angelica producer operates organically, with 900 trees overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea in Capalbio. This location in the unspoilt Maremma region contributes to the unique characteristics of their extra virgin olive oil, known for its burst of peppery greenness.

The NYIOOC is the largest annual analysis of olive oil quality, and receiving a Gold award is a significant achievement for any producer. Sant’ Angelica’s recognition at this competition underscores the quality and craftsmanship involved in their olive oil production.
