What is Vedema by Mourello?

Recent News

Vedema, a distinguished Greek extra virgin olive oil, has been awarded a Silver medal at the 2025 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition. This recognition highlights the quality and craftsmanship behind this product, which originates from the renowned Kritsa olive groves in Lasithi, Crete.

Produced by Mourello, Vedema is crafted from the Koroneiki olive variety, known for its fruity flavor and aromatic profile. The olive trees in Kritsa have a long history of traditional cultivation, with harvesting taking place from November to early January each year. The olives are hand-picked and pressed within two days of harvesting, ensuring the freshness and quality of the oil.

The Kritsa region is celebrated for its olive groves, which have been maintained since ancient times. Vedema’s low acidity and rich taste are a testament to the careful production methods employed by Mourello. This award at the NYIOOC further cements Vedema’s status as a fine example of Greek extra virgin olive oil.
