Gold Ridge Organic Farms, located in West Sonoma County, California, has been recÂogÂnized at the NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition for its organic olive oils. The farm, estabÂlished by Brooke Hazen, is sitÂuÂated 80 kiloÂmeÂters north of San Francisco in the rolling hills of Sebastopol. This locaÂtion proÂvides optiÂmal growÂing conÂdiÂtions for 30 hectares of olives, benÂeÂfitÂing from coastal breezes and ferÂtile soils.
At the comÂpeÂtiÂtion, Gold Ridge Organic Farms received accoÂlades for sevÂeral of its olive oil blends. The Arbequina Blend, noted for being grown and milled on the farm, was awarded a Gold Award. Similarly, the Picholine Blend and Tuscan Blend, both organic and culÂtiÂvated on the farm, also received Gold Awards. Additionally, the Minerva Blend, another organic prodÂuct from the farm, was honÂored with a Silver Award.
