Gold Ridge Organic Farms Achieves Success at NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition

Recent News

Gold Ridge Organic Farms, located in West Sonoma County, California, has been recognized at the NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition for its organic olive oils. The farm, established by Brooke Hazen, is situated 80 kilometers north of San Francisco in the rolling hills of Sebastopol. This location provides optimal growing conditions for 30 hectares of olives, benefiting from coastal breezes and fertile soils.

At the competition, Gold Ridge Organic Farms received accolades for several of its olive oil blends. The Arbequina Blend, noted for being grown and milled on the farm, was awarded a Gold Award. Similarly, the Picholine Blend and Tuscan Blend, both organic and cultivated on the farm, also received Gold Awards. Additionally, the Minerva Blend, another organic product from the farm, was honored with a Silver Award.

The farm’s commitment to organic farming is evident in its production process, where estate-grown olives are transformed into olive oils within hours of harvest using an Italian Rapanelli press. This method is designed to preserve the fresh flavors and antioxidants of the olives.

Gold Ridge Organic Farms’ achievements at the World Olive Oil Competition highlight the quality and dedication involved in their olive oil production.

The winning brands are presented in the Official Guide and the Olive Oil Times World Ranking.
