Is extra virgin olive oil good for Indian cooking?

Traditional Indian cui­sine often very high heat. The smok­ing point of high-qual­ity extra vir­gin olive oil can exceed 400°F (244°C) which is high enough for most cook­ing, but for extremely high heat appli­ca­tions, a refined seed oil can be the only choice. Unfortunately, it’s not the health­i­est way to go.
