Recent News

Italian olive oil producer Bonolio has achieved significant recognition at the New York International Olive Oil Competition (NYIOOC), securing multiple awards for its organic extra virgin olive oils. Bonolio, founded in 1934 by the Bono family, is renowned for its production of 100-percent organic extra virgin olive oil, particularly from the Sciacca region in Sicily.

At the NYIOOC, Bonolio’s Bono EVOO received a Silver Award in the Organic category. This product is noted for being 100 percent organic, crafted from premium Italian olives that are cultivated and harvested without the use of pesticides or herbicides.

In addition, Bonolio’s Bono PDO Val di Mazara and Bono PDO Val Di Mazara 100% Organic both received Gold Awards. The Bono PDO Val di Mazara is recognized for its distinctive aroma and flavor, resulting from a meticulous selection of the finest extra virgin olive oils from the PDO Val Di Mazara region in Sicily. Meanwhile, the Bono PDO Val Di Mazara 100% Organic is also celebrated for its unique aroma and flavor, made from carefully selected Biancolilla and Cerasuola olive varieties from central Sicily.

These accolades underscore Bonolio’s commitment to quality and organic production methods, further establishing its reputation as one of Italy’s leading producers of organic extra virgin olive oil.

The winning brands are presented in the Official Guide and the Olive Oil Times World Ranking.
