Domenico Manca Celebrates Success at NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition

Recent News

Domenico Manca S.P.A., a historic olive oil producer from Sardinia, Italy, has achieved recognition at the NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition. The company received two silver awards for its San Giuliano Primér and San Giuliano Fruttato extra virgin olive oils.

The San Giuliano Primér, made from the Bosana cultivar, is produced from nearly 100 acres of the company’s prized olive groves near Alghero. This recognition highlights the quality of the olives cultivated in this region.

Meanwhile, the San Giuliano Fruttato, a blend, was noted for its traditional cold-pressing process using granite millstones. This method naturally decants and filters the oil, preserving its distinct characteristics.

Domenico Manca S.P.A. continues to uphold the Manca family’s long-standing tradition of olive oil production, which dates back to the 1800s. Despite utilizing a modern oil processing plant, the company remains committed to the milling traditions that have defined its operations for generations.

The World Olive Oil Competition is one of the most prestigious events in the olive oil industry, and Domenico Manca’s achievements underscore its dedication to maintaining high standards in olive oil production.

The winning brands are presented in the Official Guide and the Olive Oil Times World Ranking.
