Recent News

Fattoria San Michele a Torri, located in the heart of Italy’s Chianti region, has been recognized with a Gold Award at the NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition. The award was given for their Laudemio Fattoria San Michele a Torri, an organic olive oil made from the Frantoio cultivar.

The NYIOOC, known as the World Olive Oil Competition, is the most prestigious quality contest in the olive oil industry, drawing entries from producers worldwide. Fattoria San Michele a Torri’s winning entry stands out for its organic production methods and careful harvesting process. The olives are picked at the optimal stage of ripeness at the end of October, ensuring the quality of the oil.

Fattoria San Michele a Torri has been an organic farm since 1993, with over 900 hectares of land, including 85 hectares of vineyards and 110 hectares of olive groves. The farm is located just 15 kilometers from Florence, Italy. Paolo Nocentini, the current owner, has played a significant role in the farm’s transition to organic production and the expansion of its crops.

This recognition at the World Olive Oil Competition highlights the farm’s commitment to organic farming practices and quality production. The award-winning Laudemio Fattoria San Michele a Torri is a testament to the farm’s dedication to producing high-quality olive oil.

The winning brands are presented in the Official Guide and the Olive Oil Times World Ranking.
