Fontanaro Estate Wins Gold at NYIOOC for Organic Olive Oil

Recent News

Fontanaro Estate, an Italian producer renowned for its organic extra virgin olive oil, has been awarded a Gold Award at the New York International Olive Oil Competition (NYIOOC). The winning entry, Olio Fonte della Pace, is an organic blend made from five varieties of olives: Leccino, Frantoio, Dolce Agogia, Moraiolo, and Pendolino.

Fontanaro Estate emphasizes quality control throughout the production process, from manual harvesting to processing at their state-of-the-art mill located on the farm. This proximity allows the estate to press the olives within six hours of harvesting, ensuring the integrity of the final product. For the award-winning Olio Fonte della Pace, the olives were handpicked and processed within three hours of harvest, highlighting the estate’s commitment to maintaining high standards.

The NYIOOC is the most prestigious olive oil competition globally, recognizing excellence in olive oil production. Fontanaro Estate’s achievement underscores its dedication to producing high-quality organic olive oil, contributing to Italy’s reputation as a leading producer in the industry.

The winning brands are presented in the Official Guide and the Olive Oil Times World Ranking.
