Frantoi Cutrera, a famÂily-owned comÂpany based in southÂeastÂern Sicily, has been recÂogÂnized at the NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition. The comÂpany received Gold Awards for two of its prodÂucts: Primo DOP Monti Iblei and Nocellara Salvatore Cutrera.
The Primo DOP Monti Iblei, which is Frantoi Cutrera​’s flagÂship prodÂuct, is crafted from Tonda Iblea olives. This sinÂgle-variÂety olive oil is noted for its qualÂity and is proÂduced in the comÂpaÂny’s three oil mills, which process olives from a large area in Sicily.
Additionally, the Nocellara Salvatore Cutrera, made from the local Nocellara del Belice olive variÂety, also secured a Gold Award at the World Olive Oil Competition.
