Recent News

Frantoi Cutrera, a family-owned company based in southeastern Sicily, has been recognized at the NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition. The company received Gold Awards for two of its products: Primo DOP Monti Iblei and Nocellara Salvatore Cutrera.

The Primo DOP Monti Iblei, which is Frantoi Cutrera’s flagship product, is crafted from Tonda Iblea olives. This single-variety olive oil is noted for its quality and is produced in the company’s three oil mills, which process olives from a large area in Sicily.

Additionally, the Nocellara Salvatore Cutrera, made from the local Nocellara del Belice olive variety, also secured a Gold Award at the World Olive Oil Competition.

Frantoi Cutrera’s achievements at the NYIOOC highlight the company’s focus on producing single-variety olive oils, leveraging the unique characteristics of local Sicilian olive cultivars.

The winning brands are presented in the Official Guide and the Olive Oil Times World Ranking.
