Melissa Kikizas SA, known for its Terra Creta extra vir­gin olive oil, achieved three Gold Awards at the 2026 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition. The awards were given to Terra Creta Organic, Terra Creta Grand Cru, and Terra Creta, all made from the Koroneiki cul­ti­var. This marks another suc­cess­ful year for the pro­ducer, which has con­sis­tently won awards since 2021, accu­mu­lat­ing a total of 20 awards over eight years. Emmanouil Karpadakis, a sen­sory eval­u­a­tion expert, com­mented on the achieve­ment, stat­ing, ​‘It is always pos­i­tive to see that 12 months of hard work with the olive trees and qual­ity-ori­ented prac­tices in the olive mill are rec­og­nized and rewarded.’ Terra Creta is pro­duced in state-of-the-art facil­i­ties in Greece, empha­siz­ing sus­tain­abil­ity and reduced envi­ron­men­tal impact. The com­pany also oper­ates the Terra Creta Olive Academy, which col­lab­o­rates with farm­ers to enhance olive oil qual­ity and quan­tity through edu­ca­tional and smart farm­ing tools.

The NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition is the world’s most pres­ti­gious olive oil qual­ity con­test. The win­ning brands are pre­sented in the Official Guide and the Olive Oil Times World Ranking.
