Recent News

Monini SPA, a distinguished family-owned company based in Spoleto, Italy, has been recognized with multiple Gold Awards at the New York International Olive Oil Competition (NYIOOC). The awards highlight Monini’s commitment to quality and tradition in the production of extra virgin olive oils.

Monini’s award-winning entries include the 100% Italian Granfruttato, which received a Gold Award. This blend is crafted from carefully selected extra virgin olive oils obtained from slightly unripe olives, showcasing the company’s dedication to quality.

Additionally, Monini’s 100% Italian MonoCultivar Frantoio Bio — Organic and MonoCultivar Coratina Bio — Organic both earned Gold Awards. The Frantoio Bio is noted for its clear green color with slight yellowish notes, while the Coratina Bio stands out for its bitter notes, blending with a dried and slightly toasted sweet almond aftertaste, complemented by floral and bitter almond notes.

Another Gold Award was granted to Monini’s 100% Italian Bios — Organic, characterized by an intense fragrance of fresh grass and a fruity taste with slightly bitter and spicy sensations.

Monini SPA, established in 1920, continues to be a point of reference in Italy and abroad for its high-quality olive oils. The company, led by Mr. Monini, maintains its commitment to preserving the highest quality standards, as evidenced by its recent achievements at the NYIOOC.

The winning brands are presented in the Official Guide and the Olive Oil Times World Ranking.
