Sant' Angelica Wins Gold at NYIOOC for Organic Olive Oil

Recent News

Sant’ Angelica, a small artisan olive farm located in the Maremma region of Tuscany, Italy, has been awarded a Gold Award at the New York International Olive Oil Competition (NYIOOC). The farm, which overlooks the Tyrrhenian Sea, is known for its sustainable and organic farming practices.

The farm comprises 900 olive trees spread across 34 acres in Capalbio, an area noted for its unspoilt natural beauty. Sant’ Angelica’s commitment to organic methods and early harvesting techniques ensures the production of vibrant, intense, and fragrant extra virgin olive oil. The olives are carefully harvested to prevent bruising and are processed shortly after collection to maintain the best flavors.

The NYIOOC is the most prestigious olive oil competition globally, recognizing excellence in olive oil production. Sant’ Angelica’s achievement highlights the quality and craftsmanship of their olive oil, which is produced using the best techniques available. This recognition places Sant’ Angelica among the top producers in the industry, showcasing the potential of small-scale, sustainably managed farms in the global olive oil market.

The winning brands are presented in the Official Guide and the Olive Oil Times World Ranking.
