Merula by Marqués de Valdueza, a Spanish extra vir­gin olive oil, has been rec­og­nized with a Silver award at the 2025 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition. This pres­ti­gious event is known for eval­u­at­ing and award­ing the high­est qual­ity olive oils from around the world.

The Merula brand is noted for its medium-intense fruiti­ness of green olives, com­ple­mented by dis­tinct aro­mas of apple, banana, and red for­est fruit. This extra vir­gin olive oil is pro­duced in Spain and is char­ac­ter­ized by its unique com­bi­na­tion of fla­vors, includ­ing mature tomato and the fresh­ness of cut grass.

In addi­tion to its fruity notes, Merula fea­tures tones of green almond shells, which con­tribute to the oil’s har­mony.
