The teleÂviÂsion camÂpaign of the European Programme for the Promotion of Olive Oil began yesÂterÂday in Spain and will be on the air until 26 February. Under the sloÂgan, Olive Oil, the Heart of the Mediterranean Diet, Spain invites worldÂwide conÂsumers to take care of their beloved ones with the flagÂship prodÂuct of Mediterranean culÂture, olive oil.
The camÂpaign that was develÂoped by the Interprofesional del Aceite de Oliva Español (Interprofessional), has three objecÂtives: to proÂvide maxÂiÂmum covÂerÂage across the tarÂget audiÂence, increase visÂiÂbilÂity of olive oil and offer conÂsumers more detailed inforÂmaÂtion on the prodÂuct. The TV forÂmat will use conÂvenÂtional adverÂtisÂing (spots of 20 and 10 secÂonds) and unconÂvenÂtional (sponÂsorÂships).
All adverÂtisÂing resources have conÂcenÂtrated on the two leadÂing comÂmuÂniÂcaÂtions groups in Spain: Tele 5 and Antena 3. Both include their respecÂtive theÂmatic chanÂnels.
With this new camÂpaign the Interprofessional hopes to repeat the sucÂcess of the last camÂpaign launched in 2011, which reached more than 16 milÂlion conÂsumers homes.
The Programme for the Promotion of Olive Oil in Europe is an iniÂtiaÂtive of the Interprofessional, the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environment and the European Commission.
