Judging Concludes at World Olive Oil Competition

An inter­na­tional panel of experts con­cluded five days of eval­u­at­ing over 900 olive oils today at the World Olive Oil Com­pe­ti­tion in New York.

The results will be revealed tomor­row night, May 10, dur­ing a press con­fer­ence that will draw 200 olive oil pro­duc­ers, retail­ers, dis­trib­u­tors, food indus­try pro­fes­sion­als and press.

The unveil­ing of the award win­ners will begin at 8:30 PM (East­ern U.S.), and wll be broad­cast live.

The NYIOOC World Olive Oil Com­pe­ti­tion is the largest olive oil qual­ity con­test and its annual list­ing of award win­ners is widely con­sid­ered the most trusted guide to the year’s best extra vir­gin olive oils.

Award win­ners will be listed in the NYIOOC’s offi­cial Index of the World’s Best Olive Oils and many will be avail­able through the Best Olive Oils Mar­ket­place, the online por­tal where buy­ers can source the win­ning oils from retail­ers and dis­trib­u­tors who stock them.
